Except i didn’t have ashley or lauren in my group to save my ass from failing. :(

I hate Christmas all of a sudden.
I hate having to tell people what I want, because I can’t think of ANYTHING and I feel terrible.

I hate Christmas music to the point where I am always listening to a CD when I drive, I wear my iPod in the allergist’s waiting room, just to avoid having to hear the Christmas music.

All these kids today were wearing t-shirts with Santa, or wearing Santa hats, or looking otherwise festive, and i just kept GLARING at them. (Except the girl that had the shirt about fruitcake. That one made me giggle.)

Then when my friends insisted I sing Christmas songs with them, I told them I was actually JEWISH. (I can’t even begin to describe how much I hated myself for saying that. My ex-best friend is Jewish and she would have smacked me for saying that.)

Maybe it’s the fact I can’t eat cookies.
Maybe I should celebrate Festivus instead.
or maybe i really am Jewish.

I don’t want to go gift wrap for EIGHT HOURS this weekend to aimlessly fundraise for the Girl Scout troop I wanted to quit, and listen to the man trying to sell pianos. Actually, it’s not that i don’t want to listen to him, I don’t want to listen to everyone trying the pianos out. (I really want to tell them to play Piano Man, but I’m afraid I will be disappointed.)

Or maybe I just hate wrapping shit for people.
I MEAN REALLY.
last year i wrapped a frying pan without a box.
this year i’m like “GIVE ME FLAT THINGS” and the Wii nunchuck controllers come in this ridiculous domed packaging and it’s so fucking hard to wrap.

This giftwrapping is in a mall, and our table is right behind the directory, so people ask us where things are and this lady last time kept demanding to know where i was hiding the “UMF” boots.

“Ma’am, I don’t know where the Ugg boots are. This sash is not the secret to all knowledge. I’m from a town half an hour away and I come to this mall maybe three times a year in december to wrap presents. I do not know where the Umg boots are and I suggest you ask someone that WORKS HERE.”
Except i was trying to wrap something and i was pretty harsh on her.

I shot her this look like “I’MMA THROW COOKIES AT YOU IF YOU DON’T GO AWAY, BITCH.” and she stormed off and i’m like “YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT.”

Umf. maybe i’ll draw the awesome pirate nazi squid we talked about in my AP euro class today in an awesome tangent. Just to tell people that i’m not a girl scout you want to mess with.

plus, i like to waste time when we don’t have people coming to get things wrapped.

That really depends a lot on where in Canada you are. In general we value politeness and diversity. We respect multiculturalism, and your right to do your own thing. You should come see for yourself. We aren’t perfect, and we aren’t all the same, but it is a pretty great place with lots of great people. (Please don’t judge us on our current administration, they do not have majority support.)

I won both times.

While we’re at it, new federal guidelines require food manufacturers to list possible allergens on the “nutrition information” label. Such allergens would include wheat, nuts, dairy etc. Helpful if you suffer from any food allergies, such as celiac disease.

ACTUALLY, celiac disease isn’t technically a food allergy, it’s an intolerance. (It’s triggered by gluten, which encompasses wheat, oats, and barley.)
But this is really good to know, food allergies are pretty much my life, so that means my life will be easier.
